Status Report: I’m too tired to write. But I write anyway.

A quick status report, because even if I have too much on my plate –literally and figuratively– I MUST WRITE FOR THE SAKE OF WRITING.

I went to a friend’s birthday dinner tonight. I went over my necessary calories for the day, which SHOULD be a death knell for 75 Hard.

HOWEVER. I gave myself a loophole. As long as I can log in my calorie tracker that I burned more than I ate through exercise, THE CHALLENGE MAY CONTINUE.

That is the story as to why I am currently walking my kitchen, back and forth, to go for a walk steadfast enough to burn out more than I took in for the day.

I am definitely skirting a line, but its not cheating if I push hard enough. This is me pushing!

That said, I’d rather be in bed, watching TikToks until I fall asleep. I still have a lot of water to chug, too! It IS a challenge.

But, in the spirit of status reports, I figured that I would update with a time capsule, of sorts, on what is happening in the world, both within me and without me, in May 2021. Let’s begin!

  • What am I currently reading? “If you have to cry, go outside: and other things your mother never told you,” by Kelly Cutrone.
  • Am I  watching anything new? “The Bad Batch,” a Star Wars animated series based on a group of defective Clone soldiers.
  • What is the status in the world right now? Israeli-Palestinian conflict has flared again, with everyone begging for a ceasefire and neither side relenting. Hashtags abound and no end in sight.
  • Coronavirus Update: Vaccine numbers continue to climb! Mask mandates have lessened across the country, and an end is in sight. We’ll see how the summer goes!
  • Anything else: I have tentative plans to go to New York this summer! After reading “The Chiffon Trenches” and Kelly Cutrone’s book about fashion PR, COMBINED with the buzz I feel about the new Disney movie “Cruella,” I want to visit designer boutiques and figure out which designers I actually like, and which designers I should be following. I feel like I will like Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta, and Tom Ford. Does Tom Ford design for women? I am grossly uneducated.

That is all for now! If you need me I will be stepping to the tune of success and perseverance. Also my back hurts. I wish I could sleep.
