Introducing a new series: Superstar Shout-out, in which I highlight content creators that I’m loving right now!

The internet is a vast place, filled with millions (billions, really!) of people. Everyone has an opinion, tip or tidbit on anything that can be imagined. Yet, there are certain topics that unite us all, and that topic is food!

Today, I want to dedicate some love to food related content creators. I would love to make this a semi-regular event on my blog, because everyone should open-source great creators! Without further adieu, let’s dive in… or, should I say, dig in?

Superstar Shout-out

Violet Witchel, aka violet.cooks

In my current saga to eat healthier, I’m planning two soup nights a week, a protein based dinner, and a salad based dinner. Yes. I am learning to enjoy salads, thanks to people like Violet! I first discovered THIS TikTok she posted of a delicious kale salad. Capitalizing on her newfound success, she has posted full recipes on her Instagram account. She creates vibrant, yummy salads, soups, and more! I think she’s relatively new, so if she blows up in the next year, I can say I’ve been a fan since the beginning.

Sharon Lachendro, aka What the Fork

I am a passionate and bona fide carb lover. Give me bread in any quantity and I am pleased as punch. However, not all those can be so lucky. My brother-in-law suffers with Celiac Disease, which basically means any bread product can give him an allergic reaction! As a result, my love of baking tends to take a gluten-free twist, especially around holidays. This weekend was my mother-in-law’s birthday, and she requested a pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting! Being strictly a chocolate cake girl (or, okay, a funfetti cake with chocolate candies on top), this was a fun challenge. A pumpkin cake? New for me. Cream cheese frosting? I’ve never been a fan! On top of that, it had to be gluten free! Enter Sharon, providing a moist, sweet recipe that has me singing a different tune! I truly outdid myself, thanks to her. I’ve bookmarked her blog for the upcoming holiday season. I wonder if she’s got some fascinating Christmas cookie hack.

Fabrizio Villalpando, aka The Moody Foody

Recently, I discussed my love of ASMR content. Imagine peaceful, aesthetic energy like that of ASMR, but with food. That’s what this guy does! Another TikTok find, the Moody Foody prepares various recipes, but makes sure to include the ignition of the gas stove, the crack of chocolate onto a plate, and the bubbling of ripe vine tomatoes. If you’re looking for comfort food, or just a smidgen of comfort, look no further.

Inspiration can come from anywhere. As I spend more time making the creation of food an experience, content creators that share that love, and motivate me to embrace that energy, take the cake!
