Instagram is a great place to find holiday inspiration. Here are a few places to start!

Do you wait until December 1 to get into the holiday spirit? Do you skip Thanksgiving altogether and start November 1? No matter what, social media comes to the rescue! If you’re like me, you live and die by the ‘gram. By ‘gram, I mean Instagram! Certainly, some days it’s a toxic wasteland of negativity and filters. However, if you know where to look, Instagram can be a great way to get into the holiday spirit.

Here are a few accounts that are chock full of snow and seasonal delights! With one look, you’ll be creating your own holiday vision board!

Instagram Holiday Inspiration

  1. @kjp. I don’t know how this man and his wife live their lives. It’s best to not think about it too much. These two are New Englanders who float between some of the prettiest places on the East Coast for photography work. Impeccably dressed and ready for every season, Kiel and his family provide photos of autumn leaves in Rhode Island and the snow covered trees of Vermont. I’m manifesting their lives for my future! In the meantime, they took their New England sense of style and turned it into their own size-inclusive label. If you want to take their inspiration from screen to your skin, treat yourself to a flannel dress or a cozy sweater!
  2. @luviamood. This is an “aesthetic” page, so you’ll find inspirations of beauty for all seasons here! However, if wintry landscapes and twinkling lights are all you need to get you feelin’ festive, this is a great account to follow. There’s a great combination of vintage meets modern here, too!
  3. Location – Chatsworth House. Have you ever felt depressed during the colder months? If you have, then you’ve probably seen the 2005 adaptation of “Pride and Prejudice“! That fancy house where Mr. Darcy lives, Pemberley? It’s real, and it’s spectacular. The Chatsworth House, located in Derbyshire, served as the filming location for the sequences at Pemberley. A historic house, open to visitors (why, yes, I have seen it in person), looks beautiful lit up with twinkling lights. To sum up, if you dream of owning your own mansion just to decorate it with trees and ribbons and wreaths, just look through this location on Instagram. You’ll find enough trees and lights to make you wistful for things that don’t exist for you (yet!).
  4. Location – Woodstock, Vermont. I will forever believe that Vermont is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. It’s almost a secret to the rest of the world, and I’d love to keep it that way! However, search for this spot and you’ll be dazzled with scenes of winter. Was “Winter Wonderland” written about Woodstock? Whomst can say?
  5. @Christmas.idea. Okay, I admit, it’s a bit of a cheat to just search “Christmas” on Instagram and call it a day! However, this account just GETS it. We’re talking lights, presents, trees, and tinsel. For all things festive, this is the place to look! Above all, this account makes me want to put on a sweater, pour myself a drinking chocolate, and just soak in the season.

To get in the holiday spirit, most people listen to holiday music or watch a holiday movie. By all means! I’ll be doing the same. However, if you can already get that spark of happiness that the season brings from Instagram, why not follow a hashtag or two? Chances are, you were already looking at your phone, anyway! Even just a scroll past seasonal landscapes can plant a seed in your mind. Certainly, the lakes will be frozen, but your heart will be melting!
