Blogmas Day 1: A television progress report

Happy first day of Blogmas! With television taking up such a big chunk of my life this year, I think it’s important to document what I’ve watched, and what remains on my list. Behold, the final 2021 television progress report!

When I first started 2021, I had a specific watch list: “The Crown,” “Little Fires Everywhere,” “The Undoing,” “The Haunting of Hill House,” and “The Haunting of Bly Manor.” I watched all of these shows, and started expanding that list as recommendations flew at me. An updated list came up, and then received further amendments.

As a result, I believe it is time for a television progress report!

  • Wandavision
  • What If?
  • The Crown
  • Little Fires Everywhere
  • The Undoing
  • The Haunting of Hill House
  • The Haunting of Bly Manor
  • Elite
  • Los Espookys
  • Invincible

  • Mythic Quest
  • Maid
  • It’s a Sin
  • You (Season 3)
  • Servant (this is the ONLY show that I started, but could not finish. Too much suspension of disbelief).

TELEVISION PROGRESS REPORT: SHOWS THAT REMAIN ON MY LIST

  • I May Destroy You
  • Ted Lasso
  • What We Do in the Shadows
  • Modern Love
  • Hacks
  • Sex Education
  • Young Royals
  • Adventure Time
  • Schmigadoon
  • Dickinson
  • The Morning Show
  • Succession
  • The Boys
  • Why Women Kill
  • Barry
  • Dexter
  • iCarly
  • Narcos
  • … And Just Like That

WHAT’S THE PLAN?

In December, I want to watch the following shows:

  • Schmigadoon
  • Dickinson
  • I May Destroy You
  • Modern Love
  • Ted Lasso
  • The Morning Show

In January, I will enjoy all of the reboots! In addition, I’ll enjoy the shows that air new episodes now. I don’t want to start certain shows with a cliffhanger to wait until the next week (or longer!). I imagine that watching all of “Ted Lasso” will take the entire month of December, if not longer, considering that I’m watching it with Aaron! As a result, we will hopefully start “What We Do in the Shadows” in January as well:

  • … And Just Like That
  • iCarly
  • Why Women Kill
  • Dexter
  • Succession
  • What We Do in the Shadows

I’m hoping that by February, I’ll have a release date for the third season of “The Boys.” If I’m lucky:

  • The Boys
  • Hacks
  • Sex Education
  • Barry
  • Young Royals

To conclude, I will hopefully pepper in “Narcos,” and “Adventuretime,” as I believe each of these shows have the most episodes, throughout these three months! Subsequently, expect the next television progress report in March 2022. Who knows what will happen between now and then? Clearly, anything is possible!
